Container unloading and loading rates

Labour-only container unloading and loading costs:

• 20′ container: $500.00 – $800.00 per container, plus GST
• 40′ container: $700.00 – $1,000.00 per container, plus GST

GST is additional to all rates shown.

Costs depend on your location, how complex the job is and whether we need to bring our own forklift, pallet jack and container ramps. If we are also handling the trucking to and from the port, or there are several containers, our fees are negotiable. Contact us for a quotation.

Container freight station services at our 2DLCs

If you would rather not unpack at your site, our 2DLCs in Brisbane and Darwin have container freight station (CFS) capabilities. Our team can pack or unpack containers and flat racks there, and your cargo can also be:

• Shrink wrapped, fumigated, palletised or crated
• Weighed on our cargo scales
• Stored in our secure warehouses and fenced, sealed yards, short or long term
• Inspected on our 20′ and 40′ container inspection stands for DAFF 14.4 rural tailgates
• Plugged in to refrigerated container power

Shipping containers are also available for hire or sale.

Container unloading in Brisbane

Our Brisbane 2DLC is at 8 Culya St, Pinkenba QLD 4008, in the Brisbane Airport precinct and less than 1 km from the Pinkenba wharves. From here our team travels to your yard, warehouse or project site across Brisbane. The Brisbane 2DLC also offers container packing and unpacking, Brisbane container freight station services and forklifts from 2.5t to 16t. Our drivers are inducted into the Brisbane wharves for container cartage.

Container unloading in Darwin

Our Darwin 2DLC is at 31 Muramats Rd, East Arm NT 0822, 4 km from the Darwin Port gate at East Arm. From here our team travels to your yard, warehouse or project site across Darwin. The Darwin 2DLC also offers container packing and unpacking, Darwin container freight station services, forklifts from 2.5t to 16t, and a Kalmar RT240 reach stacker with a container spreader and forklift frame for heavier lifts. Our drivers are inducted into the Darwin wharves for container cartage.

Container unloading in Townsville

Our Townsville depot is at 16 Mackley St, Garbutt QLD 4814, in the RAAF Base Townsville precinct and less than 12 km from the port. It offers forklift hire, yard storage, and a road freight fleet that includes container trucks, so we can cart your container from the Townsville wharf and help unload it at your site.

Container cartage to and from the wharf

Our own road transport fleet handles container cartage from Brisbane wharves, as well as the Darwin and Townsville wharves, collecting containers and delivering them to your site or our 2DLC, using container skel trailers, sideloader trailers and drop deck trailers with 3-way container pins. Our drivers hold MSIC cards. When we handle the cartage as well as the unloading, we can negotiate our fees.
